5 Day Okavango Delta Fly-In - (BOD5) - Botswana Tours

On this interesting bushveld tour you depart from Maun Airport, for your light aircraft charter flight, to Camp Moremi, situated in the Eastern side of the Okavango Delta for a thrilling two-night stay. This nice social camp accommodates up to 22 guests in safari tents. Don’t worry; all tents are individually situated on raised teak platforms. This tour gives new meaning to holidaying in the bushveld.

Each and everyone luxurious tent is furnished with an African teak wardrobe, dressing table, luggage rack, traditional director’s chairs and bedside pedestals. That’s not all; enjoy the sight of colorful woven rugs, soft and silky designer linen and matching interior blinds. This camp takes you to African wilderness and has a real African feel to it.

At this camp you can enjoy an appetizing breakfast, brunch and dinner, which are all included in this tour. And also together with all activities including open 4x4 safari vehicle, bird watching and exploring the Xakanaka Lagoon by powerboat. This tour has loads of exciting activities to enjoy.

By midday on day three, you will be transferred by boat to a gorgeous island called Xugana (pronounced Koo-Gana) Island. There you will enjoy a marvelous stay at the lodge, also known as a permanent water camp, which is located in one of the best wildlife viewing areas in Botswana. Instead of tents, this accommodation comprises of 8 thatched and reeded chalets. Here dinner is to be enjoyed under the cool African skies.

Be reminded, that all activities are included, so feel free to enjoy and choose to spend your time bird watching, or to explore the waterways by Mokoro. Also go and try your hand at fishing for some bream and tiger fish.

Sadly on your last day around midday, you will be collected by your charter flight to be returned back to Maun. This, one of the most incredible, bushveld tour needs to be explored by all, young and old.

DAY 1 & 2 - MAUN - OKAVANGO DELTA

Light aircraft transfer from Maun to camp in the Okavango Delta. 2 activities per day: game drives in open sided vehicles, powerboat visits to Heronries.

Overnight at an Okavango Delta camp.

DAY 3 & 4 - OKAVANGO DELTA

After breakfast, boat transfer to next camp in the Okavango Delta. 2 safari activities per day: 'mokoro' rides (traditional dugout canoe), game viewing by boat, game walks, birdwatching, and fishing (equipment provided).

DAY 5 - OKAVANGO DELTA - MAUN

After breakfast, light aircraft transfer to Maun Airport, where tour ends.
