100km west of Victoria Falls, this luxury safari lodge overlooks the perennial Chobe River and Caprivi floodplains. Accommodation at the Mowana Safari Lodge consists of:
107 luxury ensuite bedrooms, which face the Chobe River and affords their guests breathtaking views of glorious sunsets across immense tracts of bushveld. Guests have a choice of either double room, twin bedded rooms, family rooms, executive rooms, paraplegic rooms or feature suites. Each of the rooms has been intricately furnished with African inspired furniture and fabrics, while the double beds are draped with canopy mosquito nets. Air-conditioning has been installed in all the rooms and they also come equipped with satellite television, mini bars, hairdryers and appliances for guests to prepare their own tea and coffee. The bathrooms, which also boast an African theme, offer separate hand painted basins. Facilities at the Mowana Safari Lodge include a sparkling outdoor swimming pool set in a natural landscape, the wonderful Serondella Restaurant which offers mouth-watering cuisine inspired by the many flavours of Africa and The Savuti Bar that overlooks the Chobe River and a hair dressing salon that allows you to spoil yourself further. A guest lounge is available to guests for private entertaining and guests can purchase mementos of their magical African getaway from the curio shop. Conference facilities are provided for groups of up to 80 people and each conference room is fully equipped with a video machine, an overhead projector, a mounted screen and a complete video projection system.
While staying at Mowana, guests will never find themselves bored as there is a vast array of activities from which to choose. These include swimming, hiking, mountain biking and tiger fishing. Guests may also experience game viewing on a river cruiser or in open-air vehicles with expert game rangers and trackers. Traditional theme evenings at the African Village or trips to the helicopter viewing of the Victoria Falls can also be organized.
