Garden Lodge - Gabbi and Phillip were such wonderful hosts at the lodge and made us feel at home the moment we arrived. No hassles. Everything was so well organized from the trip to the Vic Falls and the trip out to the tented camp. We are so impressed. Vic Falls was awesome and we spend the whole day there and had lunch at the beautiful Vic Falls Hotel. What and added experience. We arrived after dark at the tented camp and Christine and her husband met us with lanterns and torches and made us feel at home as well. The camp is so luxurious although it is in the bush and well away from civilization. They even run a bubble bath when we arrive back from the game drive what a surprise. The food were excellent and they put in a lot of effort to make it special. I would have liked to spend some more time there. The cruise on the river was a highlight. what more do you want - the sound of the fish eagle, the hippo’s in the water and elephants playing in the mud with Botswana on the one side and Namibia on the other was an African experience out of a movie...... I am proud to say that we are part of Africa for we had so much to share to the rest of the First world countries. Shumba''s Place - Wow. We had such a nice braai in the kitchen area when the thunderstorm was brewing in the background and the sun setting behind the thorn trees - we thought that was the way to end such a wonderful trip. The African way.
