Just 24 km’s outside of Ghanzi Botswana, lies a stunning private game reserve known as Dqae Qare Game Farm. Situated within a 7500 hectare private game reserve, the Dqae Qare Game Farm is a unique experience for even the most seasoned traveler.

The Dqae Qare Game Farm is a community based tourism project run by a special group of Bushmen from the D’Kar village. Because this area has been so remote, these people are a unique glimpse into the cultures that have survived for many thousands of years.

Guests at the Dqae Qare Game Farm reserve have a variety of accommodation choices. The guest house offers comfortable rooms with en suite bathrooms. Three of the rooms have electricity, but guests can enjoy romantic evenings by candlelight in the other rooms! We also have traditional Bushman huts available. Our Bush lodge consists of 2 simple rondavels which feature an open air kitchen. For guests looking to immerse themselves in nature, we also have three campsites on the grounds. All campsites have ablutions with solar heated water.

We have a swimming pool, perfect for cooling off after a long, hot day. At the Dqae Qare Game Farm guests can enjoy romantic meal in our thatched dining area.

Because the Dqae Qare Game Farm is run by indigenous people, taking guided tours with them through this special area is highly recommended. These people are highly knowledgeable about the animal and plant life and a walk with them is very educational. We also offer game drives through the reserve and surrounding areas. Game drives here are a special experience and guests can expect to see a number of animal species.

Guests looking for a cultural experience are in luck, as many of the organized activities center around the Bushman community. Enjoy traditional dancing, or a complete cultural experience! Guests who participate in the complete cultural experience will learn how the Bushmen build their shelters, how to hunt, and more about the Bushman culture. Using only natural resources guests will enjoy a complete immersion in this fascinating culture.
