Planet Baobab

In the midst of the arid landscape, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life, one will find an unbelievable camp in the middle of nowhere. Named after the ancient baobab tree, Planet Baobab is situated on the road between Francistown and Maun. This is perhaps the funkiest camp in the entire Kalahari, guaranteeing all visitors the time of their lives!

Accommodation at Planet Baobab consists of:

Guests will be put up in the authentic styled Bakalanga huts of the Bushmen. These huts are super luxurious with complete ensuite bathrooms and comfortable beds. Visitors to Planet Baobab are also welcome to pitch up their tent, and start a barbecue next door.

One thing is for sure – anything goes at Planet Baobab, where everyone has a completely relaxed attitude. And for those that are camping – there are showers and ablution facilities available as well.

Planet Baobab has a bright and colorful bar, that’ll leave you mystified. It is here that you’ll meet all sorts of interesting characters, which come from far and wide for an ice-cold beer!

Meals of a Pan-African nature can be arranged, but you’re also more than welcome to sort out your own supper. Most guests end the night around the campfire, telling jokes and other tales with a drink, before retiring back to their huts.

Guests will enjoy watching the elephant splash about in their paddling pool, completely unaware of your presence. Another great activity offered to guests of Planet baobab is quad biking in the remoteness of the desert – you’ll never have to worry about traffic!

There are also professional guides, there to take you on nature walks through the desert and to other nearby villages, which proves to be an unforgettable experience.
