Guests staying at San Camp will soon understand the meaning of “less is more”, by the need to live simply. And before long, you will find yourself realizing that it’s the little things in life that really matter. A vacation at San Camp will give guests a new perspective on life and on nature.
Accommodation at San Camp is minimalist, with visitors staying in one of six khaki canvas tents, complete with lovely four-poster beds, clean sheets, mosquito nets and personal butlers.
You’ll soon learn to rough it with no running water, no electricity and bucket showers, but it is an enlightening experience to step back in time and truly get the picture of how others lived, and how many locals still live today.
There are many activities to keep you occupied at San Camp.
You’ll enjoy the experience of riding on quad bikes with nothing around you, but the wind in your hair and the distant cry of eagles landing. Guests are also taken on a day trip to view fossil pieces, hundreds of years old and to learn more about the San or Bushmen culture.
Some of the wildlife you’ll encounter includes the aardvark, springbuck and gemsbok, as well as the brown hyena, to name a few. You’ll also get to spend lots of time with the friendly meerkat, who often follow guests around.
