Camp Moremi

Camp Moremi is situated at the furthest point of the Okavango Delta, and is located on the banks of the Xakanaxa Lagoon in the Moremi Game Reserve. Desert & Delta Safaris offer a unique safari experience to their guests by means of owning and running, this prime site and property. High standards are set on site to minimize the impact on the environment.

Accommodation at Camp Moremi is intimate and private, and only hosts 22 guests. The 11 elegant and stylish East African style tents rest on raised teak platforms.

Each guest unit has its own private bathroom with hot shower and waterborne toilet next to the tent. His / her bath robes, and tea / coffee making facilities are provided to make guests stay comfortable at Camp Moremi.

The stylish Moremi Tree Lodge is a thatched timber structure shaded by ebony trees, and hosts a dining room, the main lounge, cocktail bar, and a research library. There is also a secluded pool with wooden decking, and a thatched boma for outside dining. An elevated hide gives scope to the most stunning views of the Xakanaxa Lagoon. All meals are included at Camp Moremi.

The open grasslands and seasonal floodplains have created a superb habitat for animals such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hippo, giraffe, and wild dog, and can be viewed on morning and afternoon game drives in the Moremi Game Reserve.

The birdlife is abundant and varied, and exceptional bird viewing opportunities exist by exploring the Xakanaxa Lagoon and the Okavango waterways by motorboat. Fully licensed, professional, and knowledgeable guides are at hand to aid the guests and make their safari an exceptional experience.
