Camp Okavango is situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta which has a permanent water wilderness eco-system. The camp is located on Nxaragha Island and is part of the Desert & Delta Safaris group of exclusive lodges.

Private and secluded accommodation at Camp Okavango consists of 11 East African-style tents on raised teak platforms, with en-suite facilities, which ensure spectacular views. The authentic teak furniture is complimented by colorful rugs, designer linen, and matching blinds. Private sundecks make for tranquil relaxation and absorbing of the surroundings and environment. There is one suite available that is perfect for honeymooners seeking privacy in the height of luxury.

The main building, although luxurious, has an old world African charm to it, and hosts a lounge, cocktail bar, wildlife reference library and a dining area. Meals are served by candle light, and guests can enjoy a silver service dinner. After dinner, guests can retreat to an open-air patio and relax by the campfire while absorbing the sights and sounds of the wilderness around them.

An elevated observation platform has excellent views of the floodplains. The plunge pool ensures relief of the hot midday sun, and shaded reading benches and hammocks scattered around the site, is ideal for quiet contemplation and relaxation. A water feature on site attracts many birds and creates viewing opportunities on your doorstep.

Activities include wildlife and bird viewing excursions, exploring the Okavango in dug-out canoes, and guided walking safaris on the islands of the Delta. Masses of different species of game and birds inhabit this eco-friendly environment and kudu, elephant, giraffe, vervet monkeys, reed frog, and hippo can be sighted. Birds that can be viewed include woodland kingfishers, black korhaan, secretary bird, grey-headed sparrow and carmine bee-eaters. Fishing for bream, pike and the feisty tiger fish, is excellent almost all year round.
