Experience the true essence of bush life within the Mombo Concession, on Chief’s Island in Botswana. Chief’s Camp is not only a camouflaged wonder, hidden in the shade of the Jackalberry trees, but is also home to Africa’s Big Five, and numerous other wild animals.
Accommodation at Chief’s Camp consists of:
This remote Camp offers guests 12 beautiful bush pavilions to reside in sheer luxury. These pavilions are fully equipped with showers, both indoors and outdoors, as well as en-suite bathrooms.
Guests can view game in their natural habitats from their private decks, while relaxing in the swinging hammock provided. Each unit also contains a comfortable four-poster bed, cupboards and a mini-bar. There also happens to be a bookshelf and writing desk, for sending off postcards to loved ones at home.
There is a main lodge area as well, where guests can enjoy exquisite meals in the dining area, purchase souvenirs from the charming little curio shop and even touch up on your history in the well-stocked library.
Chief’s Camp boasts a lovely, large pool outside, where guests can be treated to pampering massages and other beauty treatments in the shaded “salas” provided.
Some of the activities offered to guests staying at Chief’s Camp include 4x4 trips out into the bush to view some of Botswana’s predators, such as elephant, buffalo and the rare black and white rhino. One can also enjoy canoe activities in the native Mokoro Canoe, which is dug out and maneuvered using a pole, allowing for a gentle flow down the Delta channels.
