Guests staying at Eagle Island Camp will be treated to the magnificence that is Africa, with private viewing decks assigned to each luxury tent. These raised tents blend in perfectly with their surroundings of indigenous trees, having been designed in natural colours and wooden finishings.
You will enjoy relaxing on a hammock on the deck, with a cool drink or mineral water from your private mini-bar within your tent. You’ll also be pleased to know that the tents are fully equipped with en-suite bathrooms, AC and electronic safes. There are also ceiling fans and hairdryers provided for your convenience.
Within the central Eagle Island Camp area, one will discover the magnificent Fish eagle bar, where many a late night is to be had. Next door to the bar is a sumptuous lounge area, adjacent to the bush-dining venue, where delicious meals are served.
A favorite after dinner activity is chatting around the campfire, telling stories and listening to the sounds of the Delta. And mornings are often spent lounging around the heated swimming pool, with a fresh cup of coffee.
Some recommended activities offered to guests staying at Eagle Island Camp include a day spent on the lagoon in the famous Mokoro, or dug-out canoe, where you can enjoy a lazy time watching birds and other wildlife. Then of course there’s the big game viewing, experienced by way of 4x4 game drives or nature walks. Guests staying at the camp can also enjoy pampering treatments in the salon and reading in the library.
