These luxury houseboats are moored in Shakawe which is roughly 10 kilometers from the Namibian border. From here the Okavango riverboat leaves on its spectacular journeys.
The “Ngwesi” is the Okavango river boat. The boat comes fully staffed for your own comfort ensuring a stylish getaway. A licensed Skipper as well as fully trained staff is available for the duration of your stay on the river boat. There are also smaller tender boats that can be used to explore the waters.

The Okavango River boat sleeps a maximum of 8 people in the lower deck. There are 4 separate bedrooms. Two of the rooms have twin beds and the other two rooms have double beds. All rooms have packing space as well as hot and cold running water.
The wildlife in the area is spectacular. Because the Okavango has many islands there are area’s here which have remained uninhabited. From boats you have a unique vantage point over some of the most isolated natural habitats. Bird watching here is spectacular with over 450 different bird species. Tackle and bait are provided for guests who would like to try their hand at fishing or fly fishing. This region is well known the Tigerfish and will be a real treat for those who enjoy fishing.
