Fed by the floodwaters of Angola, the Okavango Delta is one of Africa's most beautiful examples of rich wildlife and unspoiled natural lagoons, islands and channels. One such of these islands is Pom Pom Island, an enchanted escape into the beauty of the Okavango wilderness. Overlooking a lagoon, the camp is a haven secluded under a canopy of shady trees.
Accommodation at Pom Pom Camp consists of:
Pom Pom Camp offers its guests one of nine luxury safari meru-styled tents, fully-furnished and accompanied by a semi-open en-suite bathroom. Guests are able to privately bathe by candlelight in the twilight of evening whilst overlooking the Delta below. The camp offers a thatched central building which houses the lounge, dining room, bar and pool areas.
Guests at Pom Pom Camp are privy to exclusive tours of the area, such as guided game drives, night drives, explorative walks and Mokoro (dugout boat) trips. Fishing is also an activity on offer. Pom Pom Camp promises its guests the opportunity to see many of the major predators and big game, as well as a wide variety of bird life (aquatic, forest and bushveld). Giraffe, elephant, crocodiles, the big cats, buffalo and hippo are frequently spotted in the area. Guests can also relax at the boma area, or browse Pom Pom's own gift shop.
Pom Pom Camp does provide private air transfers into the camp for its guests from Maun or Chobe. Guests at Pom Pom are treated to the cuisine of the camp's own safari chefs, and among the food offered is freshly-baked bread and fresh fruit. All meals and accommodation are included in the price.
